Yes. Under ACT and NSW law, all swimming pools must be enclosed by a compliant barrier. Non-compliant fences can result in fines and complications when selling your property.
What's the minimum pool fence height?
At least 1200mm, with no gaps exceeding 100mm. Gate latches must be inside and at least 1500mm from the ground. We build to this as standard on every install.
How do I get a pool barrier certificate?
Once installed, you need an inspection from an accredited certifier. We guide you through this process or connect you directly — we build to pass so the inspection is straightforward.
Can an existing wall form part of my pool barrier?
Sometimes — walls and the house can form part of the barrier if they meet specific requirements. We assess your entire site during the free quote.
